360 MALL’s photography contest draws in huge response from Kuwait-based photographers

360 MALL’s ‘The Gardens’˜ photography contest brought together 240 photographers, successfully bring the malls greenest zone to life, showcasing 530 creative images with innovative techniques. 

The winners, Jeslani Reyes (first place), Rino Meistapha (second place) and Jassim AlSaffar (third place) were announced at an event at 360 MALL and received USD 7,000, USD 5,000 and USD 3,000 respectively.

Claudia Lopusinska, Marketing Manager, 360 MALL, said: “We received a wide range of entries for 360 MALL’s photography contest , making it tough to choose the winners. ‘The Gardens’ is a very unique area and it was interesting to see the different ways in which photographers interpreted the zone highlighting the shopping and dining experiences.Twenty-four images taken by contestants were specially recognized and are being showcased at 360 MALL’s The Gardens, as part of a special exhibition aimed at raising awareness about the beauty and uniqueness of the zone. The exhibition will run till June 8th 2016 at Gate #1, Ground Level. The photographers were able to capture the impressive 21,000 plants and 60 plant species that adorn the walls and vertical structures wisely selected to offer a visually stunning experience and  adds a natural bio-filter improving the MALL’s air quality and giving the chance to shoppers discover the amazing plant world. The photographs were judged by Mr. Waleed Hambishi, Mr. Jacek Wozniak and a member of GLA Senior Management.

Jassim Al Jassim, Phoenix Services Company, said: “It was a privilege to be a part of this photography contest and witness the ever-growing talent in the country. We received some outstanding images and were truly surprised by the quality of work we received. The 360 MALL has done a great job of supporting those with a creative bent of mind and ‘The Gardens’ zone was an interesting subject for photographers to work with.”
